Welcome Home

The Second wave of Arizona National Guard I/285^th Unit has returned from their deployment to Afghanistan. On hand to welcome them home were hundreds of family, friends, the Legion Patriot Riders, American Red Cross ‘Rescue Bear’ and members of the VFW and the Veterans and Family Support (V&FS) committee; including VFW Department Commander Betty Gripp, LAVFW-10188 Gary & Chrissy Harlan; LAVFW-549 and Department VAVS Lucille Lombardo with V&FS Chair and LAVFW-10188 Kim Sloan. There was also considerable coverage by local media. The VFW volunteers helped with refreshments and decorated the fence with American flags.
