The Eastern Mountains Young Marines detachment of the Show Low, Arizona area held a Spaghetti Dinner at the Masons Hall Saturday, October 27^th, 2007.  The dinner ran from 5-7 pm.  They had arranged for the VFW Department of Arizona Operations Up-Link Chairman Jerry Pujat also to speak on a radio station KWKM, making an interview asking for donations for Operation Up-Link.  He also talked to the detachment about Up-Link and thanking them for taking on the task of the fundraiser.  The fundraiser raised a much needed $467.00 for Operation Up-Link.  A delicious meal was had by all.  The detachment did a supper job!  Comrade Rob Jarvey of VFW Post 2364, Pinetop-Lakeside did the cooking and Sister Marty Jarvey, of auxiliary VFW Post 40, Avondale, the units Commander, did a great job with the kids. Congratulations!
