committee is composed of VFW and Auxiliary-10188 members, Military Family Resource Groups (FRGs) and community organizations.             “Freedom Walk” began in 2005 to honor lives lost at the Pentagon on 9/11/2001. This idea, originating with Department of Defense (DOD) employees, received overwhelming support across America. In 2006 Freedom-Walks occurred in 130 cities in all 50 states.             The VFS committee has already hosted a number of family events, including an Easter Egg Hunt; celebration of both Mothers and Fathers Day and a July 4th family picnic. In addition to the ‘Freedom Walk’, the VFS committee is planning a patriotic rally in October.

More Details about VFS Committee plans can be provided by the VFS Chair, Kim Sloan.
