VFW Post 1710 & Auxiliary Makes A Difference to Homeless Children
The sisters and comrades chose the children of Thomas Pappas
Homeless School
to Make a Difference for and provide them a safe Halloween at the same time. Treats for approximately 350 children were purchased, bagged by the 10 members of the auxiliary and delivered and distributed to the children by Post Commander Charles Pearce, Auxiliary Treasurer Ima Denmon and Auxiliary Secretary Marilyn Rogers.
Upon entering each room Roxanne Meredith, Executive Director of Community Services and the VFW/Auxiliary members explained to the children what a Veteran is and that Veterans are responsible for the freedom we have today. The children were excited and grateful.
Treasurer Ima Denmon and Post Commander Charles Pearce hands out treat bags to excited Thomas Pappas
School children.

Commander Pearce and Secretary Rogers take a break as children listen to instruction from their instructor Mrs. McCormick.
